What I rather meant was, that you could do with it, whatever you would like to do. I have had several messages from people that tried to build it. It does not seem to work on modern Pentium machines. And since there is no way of verifying the programming, it is difficult to use for beginners. The only way to check the programmer is to program a device with a known working design. I do not have the time or intention to put any more effort into this project and I am not going to translate the documentation into English. It would probably be best to remove the programmer from your file base. Note: This is a low cost programmer for the AT89C2051 chip. It's all in German, so I haven't been able to read through it or try it out. The uudecoded zip file, PROG2051.ZIP is in this contrib directory. In addition to my own in-circuit programmer for the AT89C2051, Atmel offers a free low cost design for this chip. It's available from their fax-back line, 1-800-29A-TMEL. I don't know if they have an additional number which works outside the U.S. ...I should also note that my in-circuit programmer is not a low cost design, though all the parts can be purchased for under about $75(US). -Paul ---------------------------------------------------------- Date: Sat, 07 Oct 1995 00:00:00 +0100 From: Paul_Hoepping@citybox.fido.de (Paul Hoepping) Subject: lowcost '2051 programmer To: paul@ECE.ORST.EDU Lines: 14 Status: RO Hallo paul # holmes.ece.orst.edu, there is no way to access my local bs without an expensiv long distance call.
